Airport Olaya Herrera

Olaya Herrera Airport is another airport which is more located in the city of Medellin. The airport was the former international airport. After completing the construction of the new airport of Medellin, most airlines aircraft moved to the new airport. The airport is named after Enrique Olaya Herrera, the President of Colombia from 1930 to 1934. IATA code EOH.

At this moment Olaya Herrera is mainly used by regional airlines. But international private jet or charters of other countries simply can come because the international status of the airport is not lost. Customs are present at the airport.

The airport was the home of ACES Colombia and West Caribbean Airways until they went bankrupt in 2003 and 2004. At present it is home to ADA (Aerolínea de Antioquia). Ada is a regional airline.

Currently only ADA, Aires and Satena fly at the airport.
