Aires LogoWhat began as a dream in 1981 to the 2 provinces of Huila and Tolima in the middle of the country to commit to a real grown from aviation company called the Aerovias Integración Regional or AIRES. It started with 2 Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante aircraft and in 27 years has grown into an airline with more than one million passengers and about 1500 tons of cargo per year. Aires is a 100% Colombian company. The company offers a network of flights between major cities of Colombia. It also attempts to allow for same day return to your starting point.

To this point the route network of 22 domestic destinations gradually expanded with a number of international destinations. This focus on approximately the ABC Islands, Panama and Maracaibo.

The fleet comprises 14 aircraft of the Dash 8 type. The number of passengers at a time that these airplane carries is 37 or 70. It has also since early 2009 7 Boeing 737-700.

 Between August and September 2010 Aires was taken over by LAN Chile. The purchase amount was $ 32.5 million dollar.
